Most real money craps players use the pass line wager. This is something like a tradition, and at some tables it’s even considered bad luck to bet on the don’t pass line. Some especially superstitious craps players even feel that a don’t pass gambler is working against the other players and will say the gambler is betting the dark side. When discussing the amount of casino odds offered ( 2X, 3X, etc. ), we sometimes refer to the number in front of the X as the “odds factor”. For example, if the odds offered are 5X, then the odds factor is 5. For pass line bettors, the maximum free odds bet you are allowed to make is simply the product of the odds factor and the line bet. But unless you can influence the dice, the odds are always stacked against you in craps. The Pass Line bet is the most common wager on the table. When you bet a Pass Line, the natural house edge is around 1.42%. If the Pass Line bet wins, it is paid even-money – a ten dollar bet wins ten dollars. The Free Odds bet is paid at true odds. Online Craps: Pass Line and Pass Line Odds Bets Explained By Rob V October 9, 2018 The first look at a Craps table can be quite daunting, with what seems like zillion different wagering options and areas with unusual names such as Come, Pass Line and Don’t Pass bar, Hardways, and so on.
Crap games have some of the widest house edge spreads of any casino game. On the good end you have no house edge on the odds bets and just 1.41% on the Pass Line. On the bad end you have house edges over 10% such as on bets such like the Proposition 2 and 12.

* Note About the Odds Bets
While the house edge is in fact zero for the odds bet there is of course a catch in the fact that you have to have made a Pass Line or Don't Pass Line bet to be able to make the bet. The actual house edge on the combined bets is determined by the amount you can bet on the odds. Break away game.

Craps Pass Line Odds
Typically online you will only find 3X odds which makes the combined house edge on the Pass Line Odds 0.47% and for the Don't Pass Odds 0.34%. The higher the multiple you can bet on the odds the lower the house edge so for example a game with 100X odds has a house edge of just 0.02%.
